Guys and gals. Those interested in benchmarking, do post your scores here. And you can grab 3Dmark from here.

3Dmark is essentially what it means. It stress out your graphic card to the maximum, allowing it to perform at its best, and what it is meant to be built for. On a side note, it also test out your CPU but we don't really need that information anyway.

Google around for older ones. You can find older 3Dmarks on futuremark's site also, at discontinued ...

Recently I realized that I cant open my hard drive directly by double clicking them. If I do..one drive would just pop up a Search window while the other drive would say that its an illegal operation.

So obviously i got some nasty viruses in my laptop. i do have Kaspersky Internet Security 9 and even though they're updated nothing seems to be detected.

Surely some IT wizard in here could show this humble peasant on how i could solve this problem...kan?

An undeniable fact for laptop is the portablility, carry everywhere we want as long as there is a wireless connection However, from my own point of view, this portability increases theft cases a lot. Example like not only the owner's laptop got stolen, there is a posibility ...

Windows Advanced Rasterization Platform (WARP) is a software rasterizer that'll run normal DX10 code in CPU, much like the old days. Further information: Microsoft WARP Boosts Graphics on Intel's CPUs

Note that Core i7 is used in comparison against G45 IGP. Dedicated low end GPU can still deliver performance exponentially higher. However, Intel's Larrabee might use WARP as it is a multi x86 core GPU (or CPU?) itself. Given that modern low end GPUs have features the same as high end counterparts, ...

bit-tech.net: AMD Athlon Neo: The New Ultra-thin Platform

A low power version of K8. How 'smart' of AMD.

But really, why 690G chipset now instead of 780G?

Intel has Core Solo in its arsenal but no G4x chipset for ultra-thins.

So the ability to process and output HD video may be AMD's trump card.

I'll wait for 'Congo' platform (with 780G and Athlon Neo X2) just because it's more feature complete. The current 'Yukon' platform is enticing but not feature complete enough (i.e. ...

OK, I'm not an Intel fan. But Larrabee might change what future GPU's should be. What do you think of it?

Intel's Pat Gelsinger said Larrabee's die will be larger than NVIDIA's 65nm GT200 at 600mm^2. Historically, large die means lower production yield. Ergo, low yield = low clock speed = high heat = high price.

AMD and NVIDIA's GPU's are becoming more programmable so Larrabee's flexible advantage might diminish. Plus, the next-gen GPU's also have radical architectures (MIMD, allegedly) ...

Well, you heard the news. Intel believes that AMD isn't controlling most of Globalfoundries. So they want to revoke AMD's license in 60 days if AMD don't fix the problem by then.

But the story's different on AMD's side. They claim to have 50% of Globalfoundries' operation though most of the investment comes from ATIC. To counter Intel's threat, they can revoke Intel's licensing of their IMC, x86-64 and other technologies.

IMO, no one will be happy to see AMD gone from x86 business. Maybe, ...
