hahaha...you can block FB but you'll never finish blocking people for there is simply too many new applications that students could find to play >_<
Same situation with Friendster, ya they have been block and thus, now FB what is next?
The more you block the more new applications will appear and it get more fun each time devil_evil

Sometimes there are students who hog the computers to cheat in FB games. And they're no way to be found except their bags on the seats! Don't tell me that doesn't make you angry.
I don't care about students wasting an hour or so on FB and other entertainment sites but please go somewhere when you're free the whole morning! Use a freaking laptop to watch your movies.

Guess that sums up all the annoyances in the open lab.

Some people even use TWO or MORE computers once to play a certain game or anything that is not educational or productive in any possible way. This is really pissing me off......

Honestly saying, the library has improved a lot compare to the previous time before this thread was started. The changed of table layout makes librarian easier to spot who is making the noise. Though it is still quite noisy at times, what to do~ Its like telling drivers not to use handphones while driving but it still happen =3

Facebook ain't block because the staff use FB to communicate also, and also, Swinburne Sarawak is inside there.

Not to mention that banning Facebook won't solve the problem. Flash and online gamers will just move on to other sites.

If we want to condemn something here, we have to condemn those who game on open lab PCs, Facebook or not.

you know what, google faronics insight. i encounter one at 5th level open lab, on 1 of the computer.
block every program except office and some work program.

firefox?ie? blocked. USB DISK? BLOCKED!

i believe it was a test whether it will work on not, and if it work, they deploy across swinburne lol (no more FB game for student, only staff Very Happy

)

btw blocking flash is quite easy if swinburne want, just block every request for swf file --.--" (originated from facebook)
