| Hey Guys, Just hold out, very soon ITS will have a way for you to easily get SWINWIFI installed on all your devices (given they support SWINWIFI eap types). iPhones will not be officially supported, but will defiantly work. Just sit tight. |

| there is definitely a reason for ITS to implement such securities on the wifi network... i dont mind that they disallow devices from connecting (other than laptops), but at least enable more encryption methods that are much more acceptable on market devices.... as for now, NO nokia phones can connect to the network, though im not sure about sony ericsson phones.. |

The EAP type (TTLS + PAP) will not be changing. |

| Sorry, I don't have any control over Blackboard content at Kuching or Melbourne. No iphones are needed. Staff responsible for wireless have varied models for testing. |

| @Mika: PM me if you want to offer any solutions for ITS since I'm working there now as part time. I do wanna know the setup's process. Btw, SwinWiFi is actually not from our local Uni, it was from Australia so we can't do much about them unless we are told to do so. SwinWiFi version 2 can be used on 64-bits and I tried it out already even it's not fully supported. SwinWiFi version 3 is out and it can now supports 64-bits & Windows 7. Mac Tiger & Leapord just need some configuration without using SwinWiFi. I already ask them to make a guide book for Mac users. There're a few people asking for Phone setup of SwinWiFi but the only problem is the 'CA/certificate'. I'm glad to help you guys for any inquiries that I can assist =) Peace (V) ^,^ |

| regarding the CA problem, users cant just install the CA from the swinwifi package given by ITS, they have to use the CA to 'create' another iphone recognizable configuration profile to use with the iphone/ipod touch.. and im satisfied with my own swinwifi package for 64bits... dunno if it's any similar to the ITS distribution... |

| @Mika: We did noticed that and we try to extract the CA from Windows but failed... So you wanna contribute anything for us? It'll be a great help. |

| @mrmoi: i can give u guys the final configuration file for distribution, but it would need a rather complex guide writeup... PS. if ITS is still going to block POP3 and IMAP port access to popular email servers like gmail and hotmail, then it would be very hard to get the configuration to the iphone devices (it cannot be transfered simply by copying through cable, bluetooth or wifi)
